Barolo Mosconi

I have always believed in Chiara, her ideals and her team, for many years. You probably did too, didn't you? Good, so we agree on that. 2021 was a particularly good year for Barolo. Autumn was wonderful and the winemakers were able to let their Nebbiolos hang. This gave the vines more time to pack their fruit with wonderful aromas. Such grapes have the potential to produce great wines, sometimes perfect ones. Chiara has acted wisely and with foresight in the cellar and has once again been able to bottle a magical Mosconi, a wonderful wine that is robust, potent and tightly structured, powerful yet elegant and precise. Of course, it is still much too early to enjoy this wine to the full. It will need time, perhaps more than the Via Nuova and the Cannubi, because Mosconi has once again produced a big, robust wine that is more for the patient among you!
