Via Nuova, in English new road, is not symbolic of a new way of making wine. No, it simply reminds of a vineyard located on a road that was new in the last century, connecting Barolo with Novello. But not only from this vineyard in Barolo, but also from two each from Monforte and Serralung, the fruits for this complex, unique Barolo originate. Perhaps it is precisely this colorful mix of different terroirs that makes this wine so special. It could be, couldn't it? The wine has an incredibly expressive aroma of dark cherries and rose petals, and suddenly it smells like lavender in the region around Grasse, wonderful! The wine is also very impressive on the palate. Its energy is incredible, marbled with tannins and fine acidity, like intermuscular fat in the best Wagyu steaks. Its incredibly harmonious finish seems to go on forever! Kudos!
