Brunello di Montalcino

It's finally here, Ciacci's Brunello! A great wine from an incredibly good vintage. The Bianchinis have done everything, but really everything right here. The wine smells like a delightful perfume, multi-layered and intense. The aromas are made up of spicy components and a floral nuance reminiscent of dried flowers. As befits a genuine Sangiovese, there are of course also subtle mushroom notes, perhaps porcini mushrooms, which somehow ground the fragrance. Are those tobacco notes I smell? Fascinating how profoundly such a Sangiovese bouquet can develop. And, are you curious to see how the wine moves in the mouth? Well, here we go. Of course there is a lot of power in this wine, but also a wonderful structure that shapes the wine and gives it a silky, endlessly long, harmonious finish. Great, this wine. You simply have to taste it! MUST!
