Cabernet Sauvignon Meteor Vineyard

2021

Traubensorten Cabernet Sauvignon
Trinktemperatur 12° - 14°

Cabernet from a Pinot Noir winemaker? And how! THIS WINE ROCKS! So, anyone who likes great Bordeaux from sunny vintages will love this wine. I promise. Not just because the price is right - although it should be pointed out that it easily stands up to any comparison, regardless of whether you compare it with Napa Valley and Bordeaux ... or where else can you buy such a highly rated, great wine at this price - no, rather because this Cab is a fabulously good, no, a mega-great wine! It is grown near Coombsville in eastern Napa, a comparatively cool corner of the valley (but it is and remains Napa Valley), except that Napa is about 20 degrees Fahrenheit cooler than Calistoga (the northernmost community in the valley). A wine that combines class, precision and power and knows how to convince with extraordinary aromas.

Rarely does a Napa Cab smell as insanely seductive as this one, such as Tarocco orange, its juice and not its peel, or pomegranate juice, which combines with the scent of ripe, dark berries and a hint of culinary herbs to create a super-pretty bouquet. Somehow you can feel the hand of the Pinot Noir winemaker, because the wine has power and density, no doubt, but it also has elegance and a great structure that shapes and carries it. The finish is wonderfully juicy, elegant and wonderfully robust. A great wine that you should not miss, especially if you enjoy sunny vintages from Bordeaux, as mentioned at the beginning.
