At the risk of repeating myself, I'll say it again, here and now: Bryant's Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the top five in Napa Valley. Last year, Alex brought a magnum of the 1997 to a small dinner with friends at Stefan Heilemann and Stefano Petta. What can I say, of course the wine was perfect! It had matured magnificently and showed fine malt notes, a wonderful red berry fruit, fine, silky tannins, which structured the wine together with the acidity, made it elegant, gave it finesse and made it wonderfully sweet, then let it finish magnificently juicy, ultra long. This wine will pick up where it left off. Of course, the wine is still far too young today, but the potential is great. Today it is spicy, fruity and delicately mineral on the nose. It is powerful, yet fresh and structured on the palate and has everything it takes to entertain us at the level of the 1997 one day!
