Chassagne-Montrachet Vieilles Vignes Rouge

2024

Traubensorten Pinot Noir
Trinktemperatur 16° - 18°

That's right, you said it: What, a red Chassagne? That's right! So there's that too. A Pinot Noir, of course. And if you now believe that it is more challenging to make a beautiful red than a beautiful white, then you are very much mistaken! Any winemaker will tell you that it is much more difficult to make a great white than an equally great red. Well, we've cleared that up. Now to this wonderfully fresh, cheerful and uncomplicated red Chassagne: it smells wonderfully of plums, a little like dark ripe cherries, there's also a hint of wild strawberries here and there - those things are so tiny, they can't always be there to smell, can they? LOL! On the palate, the wine is wonderfully balanced and flows silky and delicately structured towards its cheerful and juicy finish. A great red from this vineyard. Try it if you like Pinot!
