IX Estate Napa Valley Red Wine

Unfortunately, Paul didn't make it this year either, but he made provisions! When we checked in at the hotel, we were given four bottles of wine, neatly packed in an insulated box with cooling elements. Just as it should be. We opened them all in one evening and no, there are no pictures. But I can tell you it was an epic evening! And the people who were there have pledged to keep quiet about it! So now to the wine, the 2016 IX, a wine that is sure to become a legend! Allison Tauziet, the winemaker, says that 2016 is similar to 2013 but simply has more to say. Exactly, and the 2016 is a little more precise too! It already smells divine. Blueberry compote is combined with a wonderful gingerbread aroma, light Cuban tobacco and divine black tea notes. The wine moves with focus and precision on the palate, like Rossi riding a motorcycle. Breathtaking, simply perfect!
