We are thrilled with Enzo's red wines. Given our expectations—those who know us are well aware of what I am writing about here—they are anything but ordinary. So you can look forward to great wines from a small cellar, grown on the rolling hills of Colli Orientali. This Merlot is a combination of Buri and Filip. So here, the best comes together. Wonderful espresso notes, mocha, licorice, and delicate herbal notes lend the bouquet an incredible sophistication that is very, very rare in Italy for a pure Merlot. For me, this wine is on par with Masseto in terms of quality, but is a completely different wine in terms of typology. It is more delicate, precise, and complex than its Tuscan counterpart, which is larger and considerably more expensive. The sensation on the palate is also incredibly beautiful and harmonious. This wine is also a masterpiece!
