Pinot Noir Alpine Vineyard

2019

Traubensorten Pinor Noir
Trinktemperatur 10° - 12°

Harvey divides the Alpine Vineyard into a hillside and a normal vineyard. Do you believe that hillside vineyards are always better? Then you are sadly mistaken! This is because different natural laws apply to viticulture in California than in Europe. Why are hillside vineyards usually better than flat vineyards in Europe? Well, because sunlight, drainage, and wind exposure are better on hillsides! But does California have too little sun or too much rain? No! Then it could be that shady locations on the plain at the foot of the hill, where water collects, allowing for a more homogeneous growth and ripening period, are better. Think about it!

The Alpine Pinot smells wonderfully of Tarocco oranges, mmm, pepper, with a hint of earthiness. Very interesting! The wine is wonderfully transparent on the palate, clear, focused, and juicy, with a long, mineral finish. A wine with structure and potential!
