A fantastic wine from a beautiful vineyard. This year’s Silver Ealge may be a bit more rustic, but it’s clearly built to last. Its aroma is spicier than fruity, yet ripe red berries abound, carried by the spice that likely comes from the stems, as the grapes for this wine were not fully destemmed. This strategy lends the wine an unexpected lightness, brightens the flavor profile, and adds structure. As mentioned earlier, the wine may seem somewhat rustic at first, but with air and patience, it evolves into a wonderfully balanced wine that brings immense pleasure.
