Pascale Agrapart was the first winemaker we visited in Champagne over 20 years ago. At that time, he had just taken over the business from his father. The wines were still a bit bumpy and dusty. Over the years, he has learned, found himself and today he is one of the very best winemaker champagnes you can buy. Not that you think we only realized this today, no, we've known this for just as long as you have, only he didn't have a wine for us until now. But that has now changed. His entry-level wine, 7 Cru, already has it all and how! It smells great, like pistachios and peaches. There is also a delicate hint of yeast in the air. On the palate, the wine is lively and fresh, incredibly pretty. It flows almost effortlessly and finishes creamy and mineral at the same time.
