Arvine is a variety that is predestined for making a great sweet wine. It has everything that characterizes a great dessert wine: fruit, spice, density, and last but not least, lively acidity. The vines, which are 30 years old on average, grow on the famous terraces in Fully. The grapes are crushed and the juice rests on the skins for a certain period of time, after which they are carefully pressed. The juice then ferments in new barriques until a harmony between sweetness, freshness, and body is achieved. After that, it can be bottled. It has a beguiling aroma of stone fruit, with apricot taking the lead. But it is also spicy, and its minerality is written all over its face, so to speak. The impressions on the palate are no less sensational, because everything is in balance here. Harmony is important to Marie-Thérèse, the aromas are clear and the wine is extremely focused. Its finish is long and delicately salty. A great dessert wine!
