Blanc etc ...

Dagueneau's Fume Blanc, now just called Blanc because, as I said, Benjamin left the Pouilly-Fume appellation in protest, is often somewhat overlooked when Dagueneau is discussed. In my opinion, this is a mistake, because this wine has invaluable advantages over its more famous brothers. The most important one is that it can be drunk with great pleasure just a few months after delivery, while Pur Sang, Buisson Renard and Silx are still closed. And secondly, not quite as unimportant, its price is a little bit more attractive. It smells so wonderful of orange blossom, cassis and spices, it is a real delight. On the palate, it moves like a feather in the wind, exuding divine flavors that reflect its fragrance. It has a texture that only the best, greatest wines can offer, caressing the palate like silk and seemingly never-ending. Wow!
