Chardonnay Pisoni Vineyard «East of Eden»

I never would have thought that we would once again be offering a wine from the Pisoni Vineyard. Back then, Pisoni was the farmer with the most expensive Pinot Noir fruit. I don't think his prices are any cheaper today, but the other farmers have followed suit with their prices. Pisoni fruit is and remains a fantastic basis for a great wine, one like this. A wine with a moustache, you might say, with a wonderful aroma of orange blossom and a delicate hint of green apples. The fruit aromas are underpinned by a delicate touch of brioche, which gives the wine depth. It's incredible how it combines power and elegance on the palate, sprinkling in a fine salty note that underscores its minerality. It's wonderful how the acidity kicks in at just the right moment, carrying the wine, giving it length and allowing it to finish in wonderful harmony. Pretty good job, Paul!
