Meursault BLANC

It is worth re-evaluating the wines from Meursault for very different reasons, in other words, to try something new. In my opinion, the wines of Comtesse de Chérisey, which has its vines just below the forest, i.e. at the top of the hill, are great. BUT there is another newcomer whose wines you absolutely MUST try. That's right, we're talking about Florence Cholet. Her Meursault combines everything that makes up the great wines of this appellation! The aroma alone is wonderful, green apples, a hint of peppermint, something spicy and a hint of vanilla - Florence bought a few new barrels and so the first wines have a little more of this vanilla aroma. This is not intentional, but when you are such a small company with so many different wines, it is difficult to avoid. In a year or two, this will all have integrated wonderfully. The mouthfeel is wonderful, because in addition to a dense body, the wine also has a great, perfectly integrated acidity, which gives the wine an enormous length. The finish is mineral, chalky ... I LOVE Meursault like this!
