Saint-Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly

This is exactly how Saint-Aubin should be! We came to Joseph and Virginie Colin through this wine, we were so fascinated by it. Only very rarely, and then at completely different conditions, have we drunk wines at this level in the Côte de Beaune! Really, this wine can easily compete with its neighbors in Puligny-Montrachet, but really easily! The wine has a very delicate and elegant aroma of green apple, subtle lemon zest, white flowers and a hint of brioche. The ageing process can only be guessed at. Wow, Joseph really has what it takes! The wine first shows its power on the palate, but this is immediately channeled into firm channels by the emerging freshness. It gives the wine precision, breathes life and length into it. The finish is spectacularly long and very subtly salty, i.e. mineral. My God, this is some wine. Thank you very much, Mr. Grandjean, for showing us this winemaker and his wines!
