Saint-Péray Les Figuiers

Gripa's Saint-Péray classic Les Figuiers is a beauty. Ok, I've already told you that several times, but I just wanted to point it out to you again. Because I can't speak highly enough of this wine, that's how much I like it. So 2020 was not a very productive but excellent year in the central Rhône Valley in Cornas, Hermitage, Crozes and Saint-Péray are not necessarily part of the north for me. But more on that later. The Figuiers has a wonderful aroma of exotic flowers, tropical fruits and matcha tea. Everything combines to create a beguiling fragrance. On the palate, the wine exerts pressure without going overboard and keeps the elegance moving clearly and vividly. Its finish is long, mineral as well as fresh and incomparably clear. As I said, a great wine!
